We are so glad you are joining us for NurseCon at Sea 2022! We are ready to set sail on April 25th. But first, there are some important things you need to know.

Important Travel Information

Guests should plan to arrive at the port no later than 1:30 pm on the day of departure. If you fail to arrive in time for check-in, you may be denied boarding of the ship. The ship operates on a strict schedule and does not wait for any passengers, so please plan ahead and arrive on time.

April 25, 2022

Plan to arrive at the Port of Miami no later than 1:30 pm. The Check-In process begins 45 days prior to our sailing. During the Royal Caribbean check-in process, you will be assigned an exact arrival time (if you have a choice of times, we recommend the earliest time available). You will need to bring all of your travel documentation including:

  • A Passport Book or Passport Card, valid for at least six months after the cruise. If you do not have a Passport, you may present a state-certified U.S. Birth Certificate (not a “baby feet” hospital certificate or baptismal paper). Guests that present a Birth Certificate will also need to provide a valid Driver’s License or picture ID issued by the government.
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card that shows you received the final dose of your vaccine at least 14 days before sailing. This is required for all guests, with no exceptions or exemptions.
  • COVID-19 Test Result: All guests will need to present a printed copy of their negative COVID-19 result. Approved, lab-monitored, PCR or Rapid Antigen tests should be taken no more than 48 hours before your arrival time.
  • Health Questionnaire to be completed on the Royal Caribbean App the day before you board.

April 29, 2022

The debarkation process begins back at the Port of Miami around 7:00 am and all guests must be off the ship no later than 9:30 am. If you plan to fly home this day, we recommend that you book a flight that departs after 12:00 pm to give yourself ample time to get to the airport. Delays may occur at the port from time to time.

Once you arrive at the port you will proceed through customs and then make your way to the transportation center. It is your responsibility to arrange for transportation away from the port so please have a plan together. There are a number of taxis and rideshare services available to transfer you to the airport or hotel. If you parked in the garage it is a short elevator ride back to your vehicle.

Online Check-In

  • Credit Card (for your Onboard Expense Account)
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Card

Next, click on the ‘Check-In Online’ button below. This will take you to Royal Caribbean’s online check-in. If you already have a Royal Caribbean account, you may enter your username and password. If you do not already have a Royal Caribbean account, you will need to create an account.

Travel Documents

Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with these required travel documents. The requirements described below are required by government regulations and policies. They are subject to change without notice.

You MUST have the following: A United States passport or passport card, valid for at least 6 months after the end date of the cruise (highly recommended). If you do not have a passport that meets these requirements, we highly recommend that you submit an application immediately. More information is available here.

Exceptions: United States citizens on cruises that begin and end at the same port in the United States can use an original government-issued picture ID (i.e. driver’s license) AND an original government-issued birth certificate or original Naturalization Certificate. Note: Baptismal papers and hospital certificates of birth are NOT acceptable. Military identification cards, voter registration cards and Social Security cards are NOT considered proof of citizenship.

You MUST have the following: The United States Permanent Resident Card – AND – A passport from your home country is strongly recommended.

You MUST have the following: Passport from your home country – AND – Multiple entry United States visa (if applicable). All non-United States passport holders should contact the Embassy (Consular Services) of each country on your cruise or VisaCentral for specific visa requirements, information, forms, and fees for your nationality. It is the responsibility of the guest to identify, obtain and present necessary visas before the start of their cruise vacation. Requirements vary based on the guest’s nationality and countries visiting during the cruise.

It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify and obtain all required travel documents and have them available when necessary. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months beyond the end date of the cruise. Guests must have their cruise documents, COVID-19 vaccination card, lab-monitored negative COVID-19 test, and travel documentation available and have an assigned stateroom in their name. If you do not have proper documentation and/or an assigned stateroom in your name, you will not be able to board the ship. The name on the cruise line reservation must match the name on the passport book or other identification documents. Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from boarding the ship, or from disembarking or entering a country, and may be subject to fines.

Also, it is important that the name on the reservation be exactly as it is stated on the passport or another official citizenship document. If a name has changed since the document was issued (i.e. marriage or divorce), it is required that the document is updated with the new name, or provide an official supporting document(s) of the name change. Otherwise, it may result in delay or possible denial of boarding. Please reach out to us immediately if you have changed your name since booking NurseCon at Sea.
