Welcome Aboard The Ultimate Nursing Conference

We can't wait to see you on board. Here are some important details to help you prepare for the Ultimate Nursing Conference.

Once you've booked NurseCon at Sea, it's important to know there will be two important numbers tied to your reservation:

1. NurseCon at Sea Reservation Number
This will be assigned in your booking confirmation when you book through our booking platform. You can access your account here to manage your information, payments, and other add-ons for not only this sailing, but for future sailings as well.

2. Celebrity Cruises Booking Number
This number comes directly from the cruise line and is typically released between 45 and 60 days prior to sailing. For your convenience, it will also be posted in your NurseCon at Sea online account.

With your Celebrity booking number, you'll be able to:
(a) Complete online check-in once the process opens (no later than 72 hours prior to the cruise)
(b) Download the Celebrity app and connect your reservation
(c) Book premium dining, spa treatments, excursions, drink packages, and more
(d) Use the app for your mobile boarding pass on embarkation day

If you have questions about your reservation, you can review your existing booking by logging in via this link. From here you can sign into your account to access your reservation, update your contact information, payment information, and more.

If you'd like to speak to one of our helpful team members, please call us at (850) 318-8830, or you can reach us via email by emailing support@nursecon.com.

Before you sail
Required Travel Documents & Check-In

What type of identification will I need to board the ship?

Non-US Citizens will require a passport and the necessary visa for entry into the United States. Non-US Citizens will require a passport book with a minimum of 6 months validity post the return of your sailing and the supporting visa for entry and exit from the country, if applicable.

US Citizens are advised to travel with a passport if possible. Because this cruise is considered closed-loop, Customs and Border Patrol may not require a U.S. passport to sail. Many guests are able to set sail with an original birth certificate and government-issued ID. In extreme circumstances, such as an emergency where a guest may have to disembark at a port outside of the U.S., having a passport will make things much easier. It is each guest's responsibility to determine if they have the right travel documents prior to embarkation.

It is important that the name on your reservation be exactly as it is stated on your passport or other official proof of nationality. If your name has changed since your document was issued (e.g., marriage or divorce), it is required that you update the document with the new name or provide an official supporting document (e.g., a state, county or province issued marriage license, divorce decree or legal name change document) of the name change. All documents must be the original or a notarized copy. Additionally, if you are using an identification (e.g., driver's license) and a citizenship document ( e.g., birth certificate), then BOTH documents must match the name on your reservation. Otherwise, it may result in delay or possible denial of boarding.

The requirements outlined in the link below are mandated by government regulations and policies and are subject to change at any time. It is the sole responsibility of the guest to identify and obtain all required travel documents for the entire voyage and have them available when necessary. Guests who do not possess the proper documentation may be prevented from boarding their flight or ship or from entering a country and may be subject to fines. Celebrity Cruise Line Travel Doc Hub

How do I check in online?

Online check-in typically opens approximately 45 days prior to sailing and can be completed through the Celebrity Cruises website or the Celebrity Cruises app. Please note that online check-in must be completed no later than 72 hours prior to embarkation.

Before beginning the process, you will need:

  • Your Celebrity Cruises booking ID
  • Your passport or required travel documents

To complete online check-in:

  1. Log into the Celebrity Cruises website or app
  2. Navigate to “Manage My Cruise” and select “Check In”
  3. Select the guests you would like to check in and follow the prompts

The process usually takes about 5-10 minutes and includes:

  1. Confirming guest information
  2. Completing consent forms
  3. Uploading travel documents
  4. Setting up your onboard payment account
  5. Adding emergency contact information

Once check-in has been completed, your cruise documents, including your boarding pass and luggage tags, will become available closer to sailing, typically around two weeks prior to embarkation.

You will also be able to access your mobile Express Pass directly within the Celebrity Cruises app.

How do I print my boarding pass and luggage tags?

After you are issued your Celebrity Cruise Line Booking ID and online check-in opens through Celebrity, there will be the option to print your boarding pass and luggage tags. You will not be able to print your boarding passes until you have completed the online check-in process through Celebrity. Luggage tags can only be printed from the cruise line’s desktop website (not the mobile app). For best results, download and print them from a computer before your trip.

You will also be able to access your boarding pass (referred to as an Express Pass) via the Celebrity Cruise Line app. You can download the Celebrity Cruise Line app via the Apple and Google Play store.

Getting to the Ship
Travel, Hotels & Transportation

What time should I book my flight before and after the cruise?

While we highly recommend arriving the day before embarkation whenever possible, all inbound flights into Miami or Fort Lauderdale should arrive no later than 11:00 a.m. on embarkation day.

We recommend arriving at Port Everglades by 1:30 p.m. Please keep in mind that the ship cannot wait for late arrivals, and terminal access typically closes approximately 90 minutes prior to departure.

For return travel, we recommend avoiding flights earlier than noon on disembarkation day to allow enough time for departure procedures, transportation, and airport travel.

Does NurseCon have a dedicated hotel block for attendees flying in prior to the sailing?

For added convenience, NurseCon has secured a hotel block with discounted rates at the Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port location.

These rates will apply from Saturday, April 24th through Monday, April 26th. Your spot has to be reserved prior to March 25th, 2027, or before availability runs out.

For longer stays, we suggest reaching out to the hotel directly and letting them know you're part of the NurseCon at Sea group. They may have to assist you with creating two separate bookings so that you can access the discounted rates for the nights we have the block available.

Reservations can be made via this link or by calling them on +1 800-321-2211.

Does NurseCon provide transportation to the port?

Guests are responsible for arranging their own transportation to and from Port Everglades. Many attendees find rideshare services such as Uber or Lyft to be the easiest option, though taxis and hotel shuttle services may also be available depending on where you are staying.

For guests with later flights on disembarkation day, Celebrity Cruises will often offer post-cruise excursions that include airport drop-off in either Miami or Fort Lauderdale. It can be a fun way to enjoy a final day before heading home from the Ultimate Nursing Conference.

Your NurseCon at Sea Experience

When will the schedule be available?

Our team is currently hard at work finalizing both the entertainment and education schedules for this year’s sailing, and we cannot wait to start sharing what we have planned.

As embarkation gets closer, we will begin revealing exciting details surrounding:

  1. Main Stage Headliners
  2. Featured Speakers
  3. Specialty Performers
  4. CE Opportunities
  5. And so much more!

Be sure to follow us on social media, download the NurseCon at Sea app, and keep an eye on your inbox so you do not miss any exciting announcements along the way.

What is the NurseCon at Sea app and where can I find it?

The NurseCon at Sea app is available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store and is the best way to stay connected and up to date while on board.

Through the app, you can:

  1. View the live event schedule, including real-time updates and changes
  2. Favorite sessions and events you want to attend
  3. Reserve or register for limited-capacity experiences
  4. Learn more about speakers, presenters, entertainers, and hosts
  5. Connect and network with fellow attendees
  6. Receive important announcements and updates throughout the sailing

Please note that not all NurseCon programming and activities will appear within the Celebrity Cruises app. For the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding onboard events, announcements, and scheduling, we highly recommend using the NurseCon at Sea app throughout your experience.

Do I need to register for any of the classes or activities in advance?

The majority of education sessions, entertainment, and activities aboard NurseCon at Sea do not require advanced registration. In most cases, you can simply show up and enjoy the experience.

However, there are a few exceptions that may require advance reservations or assigned times, including:

  1. NurseCon theatre productions, which may have assigned showtimes
  2. Limited-capacity educational experiences and activities, such as:
    (a) Simulations and escape rooms
    (b) Paid specialty experiences
    (c) Sponsored events with limited capacity

Any activities requiring reservations, registration, or assigned times will be clearly communicated through the NurseCon at Sea app and event schedule closer to sailing. Guests will also be able to reserve or book eligible activities directly through the app when registration opens.

Drink Packages, Dining and Extras

How do I purchase extras such as drink packages, excursions, specialty dining, and spa services?

Extras will become available for purchase directly through Celebrity Cruises once Celebrity booking IDs have been released. At that time, you will be able to secure excursions, specialty dining, spa services, drink packages, and more directly through the Celebrity app or website.

For a limited time leading up to sailing, the Premium Drink Package will also be available for purchase directly through NurseCon at Sea. Sales for drink packages through NurseCon will close approximately one month prior to embarkation, after which all packages must be purchased directly through Celebrity Cruises.

If you are interested in a beverage package other than the Premium Drink Package, those options will need to be purchased directly through Celebrity, as they offer a variety of additional package choices.

Does everyone in my stateroom need to have a drink package?

No, drink packages are not required. However, under standard cruise line policy, if one guest in a stateroom purchases an alcoholic beverage package, all guests in the same stateroom over the age of 21 are generally required to purchase the same beverage package as well.

Guests may sometimes qualify for a medical or religious exemption through Celebrity Cruises directly.

Please note:

  1. NurseCon at Sea is unable to process or approve drink package exemptions within our booking system.
  2. If you require an exemption or need only one guest charged for an alcoholic package, the package must typically be purchased directly through Celebrity Cruises.
  3. In many cases, Celebrity Cruises may require the second guest to purchase a non-alcoholic or soda package instead.

Also, if you pre-purchase a drink package through NurseCon at Sea, it may not appear in your Celebrity Cruises account prior to embarkation. Once on board, your package will be linked directly to your SeaPass card.

Can I bring alcohol, soda, and water on board?

Yes! On Embarkation Day, guests are welcome to bring one personal 750ml bottle of wine per adult of drinking age on board. Please make sure it is packed in your carry-on luggage rather than your checked baggage.

Please note:

  1. If consumed in a shipboard restaurant, bar, or dining venue, a corkage fee of $35 per bottle may apply.
  2. Corkage fees are waived for guests with a Classic or Premium Beverage Package.

Guests may also bring soda, water, or other non-alcoholic beverages on Embarkation Day only. These beverages must be hand-carried on board and should not be placed in checked luggage.

Policies are subject to change at any time, so we always recommend checking directly with Celebrity Cruises for the most up-to-date information prior to sailing.

Do I need to tip on board?

Gratuities for your onboard service team are already included within your NurseCon at Sea reservation total. However, we always encourage guests to provide additional tips for exceptional service if they feel comfortable doing so, as the crew members on board work incredibly hard throughout the sailing.

Please note that prepaid gratuities included through NurseCon at Sea are non-refundable and cannot be removed from your reservation, as those funds are prepaid directly to the ship staff in advance of embarkation.

It is also customary to tip porters at the cruise terminal if they assist with your luggage during embarkation. A tip of approximately $1-$2 per bag is generally recommended.

Accessibility, Pregnancy & Medical Considerations

What if I have accessibility requirements?

If you require an ADA-accessible stateroom, please reach out to support@nursecon.com as early as possible so our team can work to place you in the most appropriate cabin available.

For additional accessibility accommodations related to mobility, allergies, respiratory conditions, dietary needs, or other medical concerns, we highly recommend contacting Celebrity Cruises directly. Their accessibility team is wonderful and can help ensure the ship is properly prepared to support your needs and make your experience as comfortable as possible.

Additional information can be found at celebritycruises.com/special-needs.

You can also contact their team directly:

  1. Phone: (954) 628-9708

Email: special_needs@celebrity.com

What happens if I become pregnant or have a medical emergency prior to the sailing?

If you have a healthy pregnancy, NurseCon at Sea can be a wonderful way to celebrate the upcoming addition to your family. However, please note that Celebrity Cruises cannot accommodate guests who will be more than 23 weeks pregnant at any point during the sailing. If you will enter your 24th week of pregnancy before or during the cruise, you will unfortunately not be permitted to sail.

We always recommend speaking with your physician prior to travel, especially if you have experienced any prior pregnancy complications or medical concerns.

In the event of a medical emergency or pregnancy-related issue that prevents you from being medically cleared to travel:

  1. We highly recommend utilizing travel insurance for reimbursement or coverage assistance
  2. Our team will always try to assist with reservation transfers where possible, though transfers cannot be guaranteed and are handled on a case-by-case basis

Because all NurseCon at Sea reservations are non-refundable, we strongly encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance to help protect their investment in the event of unexpected medical circumstances.

Reservation Policies & Travel Protection

What happens if I need to cancel?

It is important to note that all NurseCon at Sea reservations are strictly non-refundable.

That said, our team understands that life happens, and we will always try to work with guests whenever possible. In certain situations, we may be able to assist with transferring your reservation to another guest or discussing alternative payment arrangements if you are experiencing temporary financial hardship. These situations are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and cannot be guaranteed.

Please also note that we are unable to issue future cruise credits, credits toward other NurseCon events, or transferable event credits in place of cancellations.

Because of our cancellation policy, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect your investment. In most cases, travel insurance must be purchased within 21 days of booking to qualify for certain coverage options.

If you have questions regarding travel insurance, please feel free to reach out to support@nursecon.com.

NurseCon at Sea also partners with Travel Insured, which offers optional “Cancel for Any Reason” coverage upgrades for eligible policies. Additional information can be found here.
